You heard me correctly!
Now is the time of year that I like to start planning ahead -financially- for next Christmas.
Last year, I decided I wanted to try something new. I wanted to see if I could pay for Christmas without actually using money from my bank account. How was I to do that? With online surveys, search engines, and other money-making sites of course!
I started my quest to pay for this Christmas last January, had about a 5 month detour from March to July (chalk it up to pregnancy-induced forgetfulness!), got back on the road in August, and have earned enough money from online companies that I will be able to pay for my daughter's Christmas this year without dipping into my bank account. Next year I hope to pay for two children and my husband. I think if I can stay away from those detours I should be able to earn more than enough!
I have chosen October as my starting date for 2010 because most online companies take about 6 weeks to process your request for payments, meaning I will get my checks just in time to do some Christmas shopping. I am a late Christmas shopper for the most part- I will buy a gift or two early when I find a good deal, but for the most part I like the hustle and bustle of buying presents during the Christmas season. So in the next couple of weeks I will be cashing out my various sites and using the money for Christmas 2009, and beginning anew to raise funds for 2010.
In coming posts I will include a little more about how I keep things organized and tell you about the companies I have had success with this year and ones I am trying for this next year. Give them a try!

Oh, I can't wait to hear how you've done this! I'm on edge now.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I do the same thing, too. It's amazing what sort of cash flow you can build up when you start diligently making the most of those offers, then keep track of how much you make!

Wow! That's wonderful! I'm anxious to hear what companies you've used. I've only earned $4 doing surveys. LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! I also look forward to seeing your journey to do this.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
